Indexation and the NHSLA 2008 Report and Accounts (20.8.08)
The NHSLA's 2008 Report and Accounts has recently been published and give an interesting insight into the post-Thompstone periodcial payments world from a Defendant's perspective in clinical negligence cases.
The Report gives a clear indication that periodcial payments are likely to be the NHSLA's preferred form of award for a significant proportion of the vast majority of future cases, potentially making settlements on a conventional lump sum a thing of the past.
